Known for his dynamic, multi-genre sets, 28 year old DJ Dwai bounces effortlessly between hip-hop, house and afro-latin sounds. Inspired by his international backpacking travels and Colombian-American upbringing, the Queens native is quickly making a name for himself in the NYC nightlife scene. The self taught artist has recently toured in Amsterdam, LA, SF, and Denver, and also curates lineups, events and experiences from his extensive DJ network – which is deeply embedded in NYC’s underground and DIY scene. Having competed and placed in DMC Battles throughout the East Coast & Mid-Atlantic since 2013, he is now focused on music production, club DJing & live mixtapes. An alumnus of Turntable Lab’s legendary Manhattan storefront, his mixes have been featured on international platforms such as NTS Radio, Balaami & Half Moon and he regularly plays at NYC nightlife mainstays like Bossa Nova Civic Club, LeBain & Elsewhere.
